      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Optum (Makati City) in Aug 2024

      Interview

I recently went through the interview process at Optum after applying online and attending a walk-in open house, which made for a streamlined one-day experience. Here’s how it went: 1. Pre-screening: The process started with a quick interview where the recruiter gathered basic details like my name, background, and how I learned about Optum. They also asked if I had a referral, which I did (thanks to my sibling!). 2. Language Assessment/Mock Call: After the pre-screening, I moved on to the language assessment. This part involved discussing my hobbies and interests, which made it feel more personal. Following that, I participated in a mock call, where I followed a provided spiel and navigated a call flow related to a healthcare account. 3. Initial Interview: The initial one-on-one interview with a recruiter was similar to the pre-screening but more in-depth. They asked about my qualifications, academic background, and practical concerns like my travel time to Optum. Additionally, I was questioned about my work experience, my reasons for leaving my previous job, and why I wanted to shift my career into the BPO sector. 4. Final Interview: The final interview was another one-on-one session where I introduced myself and discussed my education, previous roles, and responsibilities. The recruiter also asked about my customer service experience and how I go the extra mile for customers. They inquired about my thoughts on being mentored, which allowed me to share my aspirations for growth and development.

Not flexible - this particular process did not have flexibility of methods to complete the interview. It was ableist intrinsically. And they need more flexibility in the assessment process. The process itself was prohibitive.

I don't remember. It wasn't a verbal process, it was a service call test.
