After submitting my application, I received a generic group email—not even a personalized response—informing me that I had been selected to move to the next round. The email included a link to schedule a 30-minute meeting with the CRO.
When the meeting began, it quickly became clear that the CRO was disengaged and uninterested. He barely asked any questions and, just five minutes in, shifted the conversation by asking if I had any questions for him. I did, but his responses were curt and gave the impression that he had no interest in having a real dialogue.
A tip for companies: respect candidates' time. If you're going to invite someone to speak, show them the basic courtesy of being present, prepared, and engaged.
