      Senior Recruiter Interview

      19 May 2026
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Los Angeles, CA
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Nourish (Los Angeles, CA) in May 2026

      Interview

I recently interviewed with Nourish for a recruiting role and unfortunately had a pretty disappointing candidate experience. The interviewer joined the meeting about six minutes late and did not acknowledge or apologize for the delay. From there, the interview felt very unstructured — the questions seemed random and inconsistent rather than part of a thoughtful or organized process. What stood out most was that despite starting late, the interview still ended exactly on time, and I wasn’t given an opportunity to ask any questions. The interviewer then outlined what sounded like the next steps in the process, including completing a project and presenting it back to the team, and said she would follow up later in the week with details. Instead, I received an automated rejection email with no follow-up or context. The overall experience felt disorganized and impersonal, especially given how the conversation had ended. Afterward, I read several similar reviews from other candidates and unfortunately found them pretty consistent with my experience as well.

      Senior Recruiter Interview

      14 Dec 2023
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Nourish in Dec 2023

      Interview

I got an email inviting me to do a phone interview for 45 minutes. Immediately on the call I knew something was off. She was sitting at her kitchen counter and said she just needed a break from her desk, which to some extend I understand, but as a candidate that just screams "This isn't important to me and I'm not giving it my full attention." Which made sense when she told me she really didn't have any experience as a recruiter, so at that point I knew this probably wasn't going to go well. When you have someone who doesn't know recruiting doing the initial phone screens, the candidate experience is going to be non-existent. But to be fair, they're hiring a recruiter! they just don't have a recruiter doing the recruiting. She tells me the call is very casual and to not take it too seriously. She just asked me one question "Tell me about yourself" and that was it. She didn't ask specifics - which roles i've recruited for, my tech stack, etc. After that she told me a bit about the company and the interview process but we wrapped up about 10 minutes early and at that point I knew I didn't get the job. Companies, please have actual recruiters doing your recruiting. Otherwise, it's just a really poor experience.
