I applied online and was contacted by phone a few days later. She asked me basic questions like, Why nordstroms? What do you think about commission? Tell me a time when you had to impress your boss, etc. General questions, but make sure your quick to answer with a good story. Then they told me to come in for a personal interview.
I showed up and there were at least 25 other people trying to get the job. We were taken into a room where they played a video about the history of Nordstrom. During this video, various employees called out our names and we were taken into a room to be interviewed. These questions were similar to the ones on the phone, but there were many more. "Tell us when you had to surpass goals" or "when did you have to overcome something to satisfy a customer?" Thought I did well, and they called me back a few days later. At this point I thought I had it in the bag. But they told me to come in again for a one on one interview with the department manager (womens shoes).
So I did, and the questions were very similar to the previous. Went very well and got called 3 days later and got the job! Yes!
