The interview process here was chaotic. I was approached by a recruiter who referred me for the job. When booking a time for initial interview, I was asked what times I was available, but I later received a calendar invite for a time I'd explicitly said I couldn't do. This was then rearranged, but upon receiving the new invitation, the meeting title included the name of another applicant for the job. I found this quite unprofessional and a bit of a red flag.
The interview itself was of average difficulty. At the end, I was told by the staff who were interviewing that I would receive a task to complete within the next two days.
Two weeks passed with no communication. Eventually, I reached out to ask about the status of my application, expecting to be told it had been rejected. However, they responded saying they'd been busy with an event. I understand it's a relatively small company, but an email update would have taken just a couple of minutes to write within that two week gap.
I then received the task a few days later but by then I had accepted another job offer.
I'm not sure I would have moved forward with the process either way after such poor communication. Due to the size of the company there doesn't appear to be any HR department, and it showed.
