I applied through university. I interviewed at NexSales (Mumbai) in Aug 2025
Interview
The interview process was well-structured with multiple rounds including technical assessment of data structures and algorithms. The interviewers were professional and asked questions about my DSA knowledge and project experience. Overall, it was a good learning experience.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Explain how to implement a binary search algorithm and discuss its time complexity.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at NexSales
Interview
The hiring process was well-organized, with clear communication from HR across multiple rounds — Technical, HR, CTO, and CEO.
I cleared the first two rounds and was scheduled for the CTO interview. On the interview day, I received a Google Form asking for details such as current CTC, expected CTC, gender, total years of experience, and also caste/category as per government classification. The form mentioned this information was “for diversity analytics only and would not impact hiring.”
Soon after submitting the form, I was informed that my application would not proceed. While it could be coincidental, the inclusion of caste/category in the form and the timing of the rejection felt unusual and concerning.
Candidates — especially those from any reserved or economically weaker category — may want to be mindful of this aspect before applying.
