I was invited for a screening call and was surprised that the recruiter appeared unfamiliar with my CV and current company, while also challenging my suitability for the role. The conversation felt poorly prepared and unnecessarily evaluative for an initial screening. I would suggest reviewing the hiring process and overall candidate experience.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Nearfield Instruments (Rotterdam) in May 2026

3. cleanroom assesment
4. interview with COO.
5. offer and reference check.
Interview was highly focused on your past experience and culture fit.
I applied online. I interviewed at Nearfield Instruments (Rotterdam) in Nov 2025
Interview
Was quite fast and smooth. Did get ghosted for a week in between but went quite well otherwise. Had one interview with the recruiter followed by the team lead. Had a cleanroom tour + test and finished off with an interview with the COO.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Questions during the cleanroom test. Just on the spot questions that they come up with when showing around the tool. But mostly general stuff like why use an ESD bracelet. But also some more specific questions where they show graphs and ask what we think about the data.
