I received a personalized message from Simon, the CEO, on LinkedIn. The interview process took about three weeks and included the following:
- an informal phone conversation with the CEO and the Head of Product to get to know the company and their design needs
- a take home design exercise
- 2 onsite interviews – one to chat about my design background and UX process with the CEO and the Head of Product, and another one to chat with the Head of Product and a few developers to review my design exercise + a cultural interview.
- Reviewing references
- Receiving an offer in person over coffee
These guys really screen for cultural fit. They want to make sure you can be a great addition to the team and that you'll be happy working at Myagi. While a bit lengthy, I really enjoyed the interview process and felt like it was more of a "getting to know you" scenario. The head of product didn't nitpick on my designs but wanted to make sure I could clearly express my thought process and asked a lot of questions around my design process.
