The HR manager reached out to me via LinkedIn and we arranged a meeting over Skype. He was very happy with my resume and interview that he set up another Skype meeting with the founder. During this meeting, I was told I was over qualified but they are looking to open a position for someone of my skillset in the next months. Two months later the HR manager sent me an email without a signature or company name, asking to meet in person the current or following week. The next day the founder reached out via Skype to confirm this email was sent and if I was still interested. As I am currently employed (which they knew) I was unable to reply immediately but two hours and two minutes later was told that since I had not replied, they would be moving on. I took an unscheduled break in order to communicate that I was still interested and the reason I did not immediately reply, asking for the evening (their office hours are till 8pm) to review my schedule to confirm when we could meet. This was sent within 15 minutes of my “rejection” and there was never any response, positive or negative. This somewhat set the tone though for their work ethics so I’m glad it didn’t move forward.
