Avoid like the plague: they ghost after final round regardless of follow-ups. Even if you did well it's not worth the risk and time commitment. Chaotic process and complete lack of organization. Know that if you invest your time into it, you might not even hear back as one of top 2 candidates.
In terms of the actual process, there were 4 rounds total. One of the rounds involved travelling to one of their offices (uncompensated). After a 'final round' they scheduled another, real final round. This one got rescheduled at least 3 times for different times due to internal disorganization. After 4 rounds + travel was told that I am a strong candidate. Outcome: ghosted, despite follow-ups. Extremely unprofessional, genuinely shocking.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about yourself. Tell me about difficult projects. Can you describe a time you worked on something abstract and took action on it.
I applied online. I interviewed at Motorway (Brighton, England) in Feb 2026
Interview
I was invited to an onsite interview for Motorway which I attended for it to only be a remote interview with a note taker in one of their meeting rooms. As the hiring manager could not be onsite that day… I thought this was a bit odd but still continued as wanted to make a good impression. The Interviewer wasn’t very friendly, I struggled to understand what they were saying as the call quality wasn’t great and they mumbled. Also a lot of the questions were regarding their current systems and processes. Which would have been great for someone who was applying internally but not for someone external who didn’t have this information. I just didn’t feel it was very well thought out.

Question 1
They asked me if there were any issues in my current company, what these were and what I would do to fix them. I didn’t think this was a very professional question or something they should really ask?
I applied online. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at Motorway
Interview
Far too many rounds and a hefty unfocused task to complete. Really poor quality interview questions, difficult to understand and when asked for clarity, it was equally muddled. Lack of preparation or focus around what they were trying to ask, and what they wanted to find out. One of the more junior interviewers was very uncomfortable and out of their depth. Unsure why it had to be in-person. Wasted a lot of time.
