The process took 3 months. I interviewed at MongoDB in Dec 2017
Interview
Initially a recruiter reached out to me. Had a normal over the phone interview with him. I talked to the hiring manager, eventually I met with him and with his direct manager. Including the phone interviews there were 6 total conversations/meetings. I also had to fill out a time consuming personality/IQ test.
They ended up selecting someone with more experience in the industry but I had to constantly follow up with them prior to each meeting to keep things moving. They didn't inform me they were going with someone else until I reached out to them (several times I might add). I didn't make it to the final stage which was going to be a role play of some kind, didn't get details on that.
After the time I committed to the process I have to say it was disappointing to have to hound them to find out I did not get the job. Especially when they told me I was one of 3 final candidates. To me the way I was treated during the process would be indicative of how they treat their employees, for that reason I wouldn't pursue an opportunity with MongoDB in the future.
Great product though.

Question 1
A lot of questions around past performance and my ability to be a hunter type sales person. They were really big on qualification skills. Seemed very important to everyone I spoke with.
I applied through a staffing agency. I interviewed at MongoDB (Dublin, Dublin) in Nov 2025
Interview
The interview was comprehensive and clear, i noticed the engagement with candidate and they show interest. Walk you through steps..like to capture talents and screen for qualities that are fit to the work environment.
The interview process was stringent but fair. They test both technical and business acumen.
Multiple rounds including in -person with the local team. If I recall the whole process took two to three weeks.
I got contacted by LinkedIn and after that I decided to book a 30 minutes call with the HR and then had a 1hour interview with the manager. I got really disapointed as they were not clear at all on the package they offer, secondly they don't explain the interview process step by step. Finally they don't even take time to send feedbacks about the interview, they send an automatic email. I am happy to not pass the interview, the recruitment process showed me enough about that company.
