I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Meta in Oct 2018
Interview
Had a screen with a recruiter, which took about 30 minutes. Went smoothly and was asked to continue to a phone call with a hiring manager. Hiring manager was not for the department or location I was applying for. He was for a technical team, while the position I was applying for was not technical. Did feel that impacted the types of follow up questions he asked and his decision to not move forward. Wished my interview had been conducted with the person who would've been my hiring manager. Would have felt decision, whether positive or negative, would have been more fair.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about a project you managed. What were some of the metrics you used to determine the success of the project?
Pleasant and quick! The questions focused mainly on XFN coordination and I needed to be able to talk about my past projects in details, and what went wrong. Be prepared to talk a lot about your communication, how you'd tailor it to different groups, etc.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Meta in Aug 2025
Interview
30 min HR Screen phone call followed by a 45 hiring manager virtual zoom interview and then finally a full loop which consisted of 5 45 minute virtual zoom interviews.

Question 1
All interviewers asked “tell me about a time” questions and “why meta?”
You feel like a number because no one in the interview process remembers anything about you. 3 recruiters interacted with me and none of them stayed with the org, just passed me to the next person in a 3 week span.
