      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Meraki (Chicago, IL) in Jul 2012

      Interview

The process started with a phone call from a recruiter and quickly setup a phone screen with Meraki internal recruiter who was very helpful, personal, paid attention to what I was saying about my background and candidly answered all my questions. I spoke with the Director of Sales next then met with him in person. Finally, I made a trip to to their HQ in San Francisco to meet with the VP of Sales, one of the founders and a Technical Support Specialist.

A lot of technical questions at the final round of interviews. Prepare to get very technical and do white boarding.

      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied in-person. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Meraki (London, England)

      Interview

It started with a telephone interview with the recruiter from Meraki, moved on to another telephone interview, this time a tech screening focusing on my tech skills. This was very in-depth on networking. Touching anything and everything between OSI model to hold timers in BGP. After this interview, another 5 Telephone interviews 2 of these were techier and 3 was more about the personality and business skills. Then invited to Meraki HQ for face 2 face meeting with hiring manager and 3 other people + reqruiter. Overall i like the experience, Meraki really wants to hire the right people so the process is quite lengthy but i love that they put a hard effort in finding that person.

      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Meraki (San Francisco, CA) in Apr 2016

      Interview

I submitted my interest through their web portal. From there I was contacted and had several phone interviews followed by several in person interviews. Some of the interviews were very general where we were each trying to get to know each other. The others were technical asking about things ranging from Spanning Tree, redundancy, stacking, DHCP process, basic routing, wireless concepts, and a handful of things about Mobile Device Management. I found most of the process to be a bit redundant as the same questions came up over and over. There was a 3 person live interview at the end where each of them take an hour and then pretty much try to test you in various areas. The thing that each of the live interviews had in common was pretending you were in front of a customer going through a scenario and talking them through their infrastructure. To be honest, I found the process to have an average if not low difficulty. If you have been in the industry for 10+ years designing solutions and speaking to customers, this really is no sweat. But this process really weeds out those who are the most well rounded. Knowing everything doesn't necessarily mean you can turn around and explain to those who are not technical at all. Overall, very positive experience. I thought the process took a bit longer than it should but there were other variables in play.
