I applied online. I interviewed at Menkes Developments in Mar 2024
Interview
I first had a 10-minute phone call, and then I had a 20-minute screen interview with the HR and property manager. Overall, the interview went well, and they said that they would let me know by next week. Following that, I didn't hear anything from the hiring team, not even a rejection email. Too bad. I've heard Menres is a great place to work.

Interview
Went for the first round interview, everyone was super nice. They asked about my previous experiences and some general "why" questions. I think I was a bit underqualified as a fresh grad, so no second round.
I applied online. I interviewed at Menkes Developments (Toronto, ON) in Sept 2020
Interview
I had difficulty with my laptop. The online interview was to be conducted at 9 a.m. At 8:21, my laptop crashed. I’ve had use of my Office 365 program for nowhere near 365 days. By 9, I had my spouse trying to whisper suggestions. I could view a woman onscreen but was not sure where the audio was coming from. At 9:15, it was agreed that the interview was cancelled due to technical difficulties. The interviewer was well poised, alert and very patient. I hope I was able to convey my most serious, yet calm facial expression, avoiding any panic or wish to climb under my desk. Clearly, my internet connection and relationship with Android and PC need work. I sent a heartfelt apology but I’ve never heard back. Too bad, I’ve heard Menkes is a great place to work.

Question 1
A warning to others to rehearse and prepare ahead of an online interview. I never felt more helpless as I sat, frozen, in front of a potential employer, feeling my opportunity slipping away.
