I applied online. I interviewed at Meesho (Bengaluru) in Jul 2019
Interview
1. Hackerearth 5 JavaScript objective questions. (Simple ones like (function(x) {
return (function(y) {
console.log(x**2);
})(2)
})(1);)
2. UI Basics round - HTML5, CSS3, JS, react and redux
3. UI Advance round - JS, react and redux - Questions like Redux life cycle, react life cycle, parent to child and child to parent communication react, asked about import and require, fileupload implementation in react
4. Hiring manager round - VP of engineering (Technical guy asked on PWA, AMP, event loop, cors)
All the round were smooth except third one, that round was handled by so called meesho rockstar, he is bit arrogant moron, senseless and baseless guy. He thinks that he knows everything, he wants to finish interview fast so he asks random questions and if you try to answer he wont listen to you and move to something else. He is not loud, clear and shows attitude in face.
Company boasts heavily that we are facebook funded.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Meesho (Bengaluru) in Jun 2019
Interview
I took half a day leave to attend the interview, from the job description I could see that they were looking for all the things that I have worked on, and I had a telephonic interview with the VP and it went well,
First Round was about simple DSA questions, and I thought it went well, even though the interviewer was asking question with out much thought process or preparation
second round was for front-end development, I really didn't get any good vibe from these guys, from the quality of questions I felt they are just asking whatever comes to their mind, he didn't seem to have any basic manners on how to make a candidate comfortable and have a constructive discussion, even though I answered most questions he didn't seem happy and asked few more vague questions
for example, I told him I have worked on nodejs and express module, and his question was where do you make the API call in nodejs,
coming to css - he kept on asking me about "float", even though I told him the basics he was adamant on how it is used for grid's and told me to refer pinterest when he couldn't ask the question correctly,
Again I felt he was looking for mind Reader who could read his thoughts and assumptions and give him answer right away
overall the interview process was really unprofessional and they made me wait a lot in between and responded only when I called them on phone from their office
