I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Magical Teams (Richmond, VA) in Aug 2024
Interview
I applied for a Chief of Staff position, but during the interview, I was informed that the role I applied for didn’t actually exist. Instead, I was told about how the company operates and the rates they provide, which felt irrelevant to my application. Despite my extensive experience, I was categorized into a much more junior role, offered a low-ball salary, and informed it would be part-time—none of which matched my expectations or the effort I put into the application process.
The process itself was unnecessarily lengthy, involving multiple steps like Google Form quizzes, which didn’t seem aligned with the seniority of the role. The interview was also extremely informal, lacking the professionalism one would expect for a position of this level. Overall, it was a frustrating and disappointing experience.

Question 1
We know you applied for the Chief of Staff role we had posted but that doesn't exist at our company are you still interested?
Interview itself was great. the interview activities, however, were VERY involved and time consuming. I understand wanting to get a holistic view of a candidate, but perhaps the activities could be shorter/ later in the interview process.
