One of the most disappointing interviews I have had to date.
With ten years' experience of managing and developing journal manuscript systems and an MA in English I thought I was a fairly strong contender for the role, and prepared rigorously for the interview for two whole weeks. Disappointingly, the interviewer (who had one of the worst cases of verbal diarrhoea I have come across) talked AT me incessantly for about 40 minutes about the company, before running out of steam and asking lazily "So, erm, what's an average day like for you?". Showing no apparent interest in my answer, she then talked for another ten minutes or so, before shrugging her shoulders and asking me if I had any questions for her. I asked as many questions about the job as I could, but the most pertinent question would have been "Why did you invite me to this so-called 'interviewed'?" - since it was pretty apparent that the interviewer had no interest in what I could bring to the job, and almost certainly had somebody else lined up already.
A complete and utter waste of my time.
