The process started with a gentle interview with an HR associate, which felt welcoming and friendly.
I was then given a “technical challenge” that had nothing to do with front-end development. Instead, it was a purely algorithmic / computer science fundamentals task that felt completely unrelated to the actual role.
I raised this concern during the process, but was told I should still be able to complete it despite the mismatch. As a front-end engineer, this wasn’t representative of the work I do or the skills required for the position, so we ultimately decided to part ways.
Overall, the experience told me more about the company’s interview process than about my suitability as a front-end engineer.
