      Contract Negotiator Interview

      7 Oct 2024
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Owego, NY
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Lockheed Martin (Owego, NY)

      Interview

2-hour virtual interview with 3 managers; very pleasant interview and was told I was a top 2 candidate; was told they would get back to me one way or the other by a certain date (about 10 days later), but I never heard another word, despite sending a follow-up email thanking them for their interest, expressing continued interest in the position, and stating that I look forward to hearing from them on the specified date whether they choose me or choose to go in a different direction. It wasn't until I checked the application portal a month later that I learned of their rejection that they never bothered to notify me of. Very unprofessional, inconsiderate, and disrespectful.

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Lockheed Martin in Jun 2021

      Interview

The interview process was streamlined, efficient and very pleasant. The intention isn't to intimidate you with bizarre or jarring questions, but rather to determine how you'll fit in with the rest of the team.

      Question 1

Give us an example of a frustrating (professional) situation and how you dealt with said situation?

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Lockheed Martin

      Interview

Someone from HR had reached out and did an initial screening for 30 minutes. Told that if hiring manager was interested, they'd reach out for an 'informal' phone call to talk about the company before an actual formal interview. Largely a waste of time as they asked questions and it did feel more like a formal interview. Personally, I'll steer clear of these 'informal' interviews in the future. Many of the things did not line up with the job posting. Talked a lot about the work that was being performed. Manager was only looking to fill 1 position on site, and the job description felt dishonest because it said fully remote.
