      Sales Operations Associate Interview

      10 Oct 2020
      Anonymous interview candidate
      New York, NY
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at LinkedIn (New York, NY) in Mar 2020

      Interview

Applied online and heard back from recruiter for a phone screen. The rest of the interview process was as follows. R1. Phone screen with recruiter. Typical behavioral questions R2. Technical Excel and SQL test. It was a set time and had one hour to complete, but the interviewer did not watch me the entire time. They explained to me then told me to email it to them when finished. It was not difficult if you are familiar with Excel and basic SQL. R3. 30 min hiring manager video interview. Behavioral questions and one short hypothetical / case question (no numbers involved. all conceptual). R4. Virtual onsite. Met with 4 people for 30 minutes each. Mostly behavioral. One case interview about sales forecasting that was also conceptual with no numbers involved. After onsite, recruiter scheduled a call to let me know I was not selected. The feedback they gave was a bit disappointing as I thought I mentioned their reasoning prior to the onsite. I could not have addressed this feedback without misrepresenting my work experience.
