I applied online. I interviewed at Lidl (Eatontown, NJ) in Apr 2023
Interview
Super Fun! It’s very interactive. I was walked around the store and given different scenarios and asked how I would handle them. I was also asked to scan certain areas of the store with my eyes and grade them. Example, Produce section, would I rate them an A? C+? F? Then I was asked for my feedback as to why I gave the grade that I did and where do I feel they could improve. Honestly? This was the most fun I’ve ever had at a job interview.

Question 1
Look at our produce section? Give it a grade and tell me why.
It was a conversation with the manager. He asked me about my experience, where I thought I’d be in 5 years, why I wanted to work there, and similar type interview questions.
Overall, it was a basic interview process. They asked about experience and why someone would be a good fit for the role. Just have some well-thought-out answers to common interview questions beforehand, and you should be fine.
I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Lidl (Fresh Meadows, NY) in Jun 2025
Interview
Really easy interview process. Simple behavioral questions and scenario questions. Little to no pressure, very laid back. You should know the companies overall message and use that while interviewing for this position. Almost anyone can get hired, with or without experience.
