The first screening interview went great, the conversation with the recruiter girl was very pleasant. I was invited to an online interview with the HR girl and the head of the department. This interview also went well and I was actually offered to consider another job position with slightly higher pay. Then I was invited to the final in-person interview with the same HR girl and another head of the department. Everything seemed great, the conversation was very pleasant and I was told I would get the final say within a week. Well, it's been more than a month and total silence. I mean, I'm ok with not getting the job, because it was not exactly my dream position, however not sending any reply whatsoever, not even some standard template "thanks, but we've decided to go in another direction" from the HR girl was very unexpected, not to mention also somewhat disrespectful, in my opinion. It literally takes 3 seconds to send a template thanks-but-no email to a candidate, who has invested their time in writing a tailored resume, cover letter, prepped for the interviews, etc. Such a shame, because overall I was under the impression that Lidl is a very good company to work for.
