I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Lidl (Crayford, England) in Aug 2019
Interview
Interview with the store and area manger fairly easy , make sure you know well the role of the job and research about the company. You need to show example of when you went extra mile for a customer ?
Interactive store observation when you have 5minutes to go around the store , analysing good and bad things about the site.
Very straightforward process.
One person interviewed me and asked a few questions.
Did not last more than an hour, if that.
I had one interview and then an offer was made.
Phone interview and then in person interview. Pretty quick and easy and doesn’t take long to hear back. Questions are pretty standard like ‘why Lidl?’ and ‘what’s your favourite item we sell’. Also a few scenario based questions.
I applied online. I interviewed at Lidl (Cardiff, Wales) in Jan 2026
Interview
Really nice manager and chill atmosphere. Didn't ask me any scenario based questions or any that I had to provide a "star" like paragraph; more focused on how prepared/ committed/ able you are to do a lot of work.

Why Lidl?
What hours can you do?
