I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at LAP Management (Chesapeake, VA)
Interview
I interviewed for a DOS position. I interviewed over the phone and went in for a face to face interview. The person interviewing me was 15 minutes late, a clear indication of how much they value their employees. It was a standard interview and I felt it went well. I was very forthcoming as to my abilities and skill set, my salary requirements, working hour expectations and benefits. The conversation seemed to come to mutual agreement.
I was called in for a 2nd in-person interview at the Corporate Office. At the end of that conversation, I was given a job offer letter with 50% of the salary that had been discussed and another document stating that if I stayed with the company less than 1 year I would reimburse LAP 100% for the mandatory IHG training and travel expenses. I was expected to accept the offer and sign the offer letter right then and there.
My thought is if they have had to go as far as developing a policy about repayment for training, turnover has to be a HUGE problem. I felt the entire experience was underhanded and disingenuous on the part of LAP. I walked away feeling completely creeped out by the entire experience. I would never want to associate with such dishonest and deceitful people.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at LAP Management (Chesapeake, VA) in Aug 2015
Interview
Overall it was a good experience. Specific questions were asked according to the job description. Your job responsibilities were made clear. Asked about the previous job experience and my role. Asked about my working status and other stuff. It was an easy interview.
