Went through a phone screen. HR person asked if I had a degree, to which I responded that I don't. They still invited me to an on-site interview.
I had to wait 45 minutes because the candidate before me was late. Whatever.
During the conversion with the HR person and the CEO, I answered almost every technical question correctly. When asked again by the HR person if I had a degree or not, I answered that I didn't, and had learned everything online and from books.
The HR person then simply laughed at my face. Like, a straight up vocal laugh.
Never in my professional career has someone laughed at me like that during an interview (how could I learn these things if I didn't have a degree?). Basically I waited 45 minutes to get roasted. Funny thing is, they ended up offering me a different position (which I obviously didn't accept). Ridiculous. Very low respect and a very low professional standard.
Please note: The interview was in late 2016. I am writing this now because I think that the company's high Glassdoor rating might confuse people into thinking this company respects its candidates.
