I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at L3Harris (Houston, TX) in Apr 2023
Interview
In an initial screening, the recruiter asked my desired compensation. I requested the same amount I make now, adjusted for the cost of living increase I would undergo if I relocated for the position. The recruiter became very rude and curt with me, essentially telling me that I wouldn't get that anywhere and that I was being unreasonable - despite my receiving multiple offers in the same range. If you have any difference in expectations to the recruiter, don't expect to be treated with any professional conversational respect. If my range is outside of your company's budget for the position that's okay, but don't drop all professional courtesy and resort to insults.
Horrible recruiter with slow responses. She didn't let me finish answering her questions, and was quick to move on with the interview. A while later, she said the hiring manager wanted to speak with me, and asked for my availability. I responded with my availability and asked for a time. She never responded and ghosted me. Now my application says it's no longer under consideration.
Got invited to a hiring event in El Segundo . You had your register via email to get invited to this event. Once at the event scan a QR code and wait outside in the lobby area to be called.
The format of the interview can vary a bit by department. The whole process can be long and somewhat repetitive. They look for answers in the STAR format (situation or task, action and result)
