Even though I only made it to the 3rd round interview, case study presentation, the overall process was great. The recruiter I was working with was very helpful and provided guidance through each step of the process. This helped set expectations for both myself and the hiring team.

Question 1
Why did I want to go in-house after freelancing/ contracting for 3+ years.
I had a phone screening with the recruiter. The process was very smooth. It's a 30-min introduction to help you and the company know each other. The recruiter asked why I'm looking for new opportunities and why I'm interested in Klaviyo. Then he moved on to ask about some of my past experiences, like how I used AI in the design process, what projects I had worked on, and how I collaborate with cross-functional teams. He also introduced the team's dynamics and what they value about this role. I'm allowed to ask quwsrions in the end.
The interview process was great! The recruiter was readily available to answer all questions and consistently checked in. Multiple interviews with different designers on the team, consisting of a case study, app critique, culture interview, a hiring manager interview, and an interview with the VP of the team.
The interview process consisted of a portfolio screen with design manager and lead designer, interview with crossfunctional partners (prod + eng) on how you collaborate, and an app crit (i was asked to provide 3 and the interviewer picked 1)
