I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Klaviyo in Jul 2023
Interview
Perhaps the worst interview experience I’ve had. The recruiter was 25 minutes late and did not even apologize, I can forgive this if it wasn’t for the rest of the conversation being a mess. The recruiter I had did not even know the role I applied for and began describing a position that I did not apply for until I corrected her on the role I had actually applied to. The recruiter also knew zero information about me that was clearly in my resume such as my location which I had to clarify multiple times while the recruiter complained about things in the background. She then eventually scheduled the hiring manager meeting before changing it 4 times without checking in with me, very frustrating. The actual hiring manager interviewer was fine and the person I spoke with was punctual and polite. However based on the experience with the recruiter, I would never apply here again, I do not feel respected as a candidate and it does not give me the impression that this company is organized. I never received any follow up afterwards either.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Describe a project I completed at my current role.
HR screening. Asked me some questions about software basics and sent me a code signal link. Asked about how I utilized AI in day to day work and how much design work versus coding task
ICF Codesignal, recruiter screen, and then final interview. Codesignal was easy as long as you prepped for it, there are many examples of ICFs online. Recruiter screen was normal. Final interview was not DSA related. Mostly related to the real experience of being a swe.
I applied online. I interviewed at Klaviyo (London, England) in Mar 2026
Interview
The interview process was generally well structured. I had an initial 30-minute recruiter call, followed by an assessment task and a hiring manager interview. The final stage consisted of three separate one-hour interviews covering different skill areas, with two interviewers in each session. One focused on frontend skills, while the others leaned more toward backend and broader technical competencies. Overall, the experience was positive, though having a three-hour final stage in a single day felt quite intensive.
