I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Klaviyo (Boston, MA) in Feb 2023
Interview
Interview 1 – Phone Screen
The first step was a short phone screen with a recruiter. It focused mostly on my background, previous SDR/BDR experience, and what I was looking for in my next role. They also shared more details about the company, the team structure, and what success looks like in the position.
Interview 2 – Inbound BDR Manager
Next, I met with the Inbound BDR Manager. This was more conversational and dove deeper into my day-to-day responsibilities in past roles, how I approach prospecting, handle inbound vs. outbound leads, and manage my pipeline. The manager also asked situational questions to understand my problem-solving and time management skills.
Email Assignment
After that, I was asked to complete a short written exercise where I had to craft a sample prospecting email based on a given scenario. It tested my ability to personalize outreach, demonstrate product understanding, and communicate value clearly and concisely.
Mock Call Interview
The next step was a mock call with one of the team members. I was given a brief beforehand to prepare as if it were a real discovery or cold call. They assessed tone, structure, objection handling, and how well I could lead the conversation.
Head of BDR Interview
The final interview was with the Head of BDR. This was more of a high-level discussion about career goals, motivation, and how I align with the company’s culture and long-term vision. It was also a chance to ask questions about growth opportunities, team development, and expectations for the role.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Klaviyo (London, England) in Jul 2024
Interview
first interview is with the recruiter (screen call), then with the BDR manager, then should be a panel.
During the process they appear to be extremely open and professional. But just like someone said in the reviews they GHOST YOU! I totally understand that you might not meet their requirement but the least KLAVIYO CAN DO is at least email the person and INFORM them!! INSTEAD OF telling them they will reach out next week. And bare in mind - I have contacted every single person I interacted with during the process but none of them responded. This is so disheartening considering the amount of research and work you have to do prior the interview.
I applied online. I interviewed at Klaviyo in Dec 2021
Interview
Interview was rushed. First person I talked to was very cold and not interested. At the end they mentioned that they only pay $40,000 & expect you to work in person (SF location). They scheduled me for a second interview and ignored the days I was available. They don't read their emails & caused a lot of confusion. Confirmed a second interview & they didn't show up.
