I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Kelkoo (London, England) in May 2017

1. Passed Phone interview with a a certain sales director which was very very basic and didn't really focus on either sales or e-commerce competencies , just a general talk about the CV.
2. Been offered a final face to face interview with a higher up director at the London office. I have advised that as I currently live in Manchester but actively looking to move to London we would have to arrange the interview accordingly. We have agreed on a date and a time in 2 weeks time and I have received the confirmation from the recruitment consultant. I accepted to pay £90 pounds for the train ticket out of my own pocket since Kelkoo, unlike most other companies based in London, do not pay for the travel costs themselves.
When arriving for the interview imagine my surprise to be told that the recruitment agency haven't actually confirmed the details with them and thus they are not prepared, despite the general director actually being in the office. The same individual I had the phone interview with then went on 3 separate times in the other office to ask the higher up director if he has time to discuss with me anyway. As this did not prove successful we proceeded and had another pointless, blank conversation about nothing relevant as we did on the phone, with him advising we will definitely be arranging a conversation over Skype with the general director and i don't usually think this but I was definitely led to believe that all these processes are more of a formality with the role offer being secured.
When leaving the interview I have phoned the recruitment consultant that works for Kelkoo to tell him how disappointed I am in him not making the proper arrangements, only for him to tell me that everything I have heard in the "interview" was a lie and he received written confirmations from both the directors in cause for our interview which he forwarded to me afterwards. He was puzzled not only because of the lies told by the interviewer to me but also by the fact that they blamed him for the confusion and advised he will be contacting me as soon as he gets in touch with them. Needless to say I have not heard back from either of the parties, with both burying their heads in the sand. The recruitment consultant not wanting to lose a client and the "directors" for not wanting to admit a mistake. I was also left out of pocket for £90 and wasted a full day travelling.
Their offices are really small but incredibly messy, the salary they were offering and was looking to negotiate are really small for any Business Development Manager role. When asked about the job plan or the bonus/commission structure the answers were always evasive and not definite which made me think they aren't the most advantageous.
Save yourself the time and energy required to interact with Kelkoo and apply for a proper job with a proper company.
