The process ended after the initial HR screening. Despite strong alignment with the role requirements, a strong background in both e-commerce and financial services, shared corporate values, high motivation, and an internal recommendation, I was not invited to the next stage with the hiring manager. After receiving a generic rejection stating that other candidates were ahead on some criteria, no constructive feedback was provided, even though I explicitly asked what could be improved to increase my chances in the future. The decision felt subjective and based on non-technical criteria, without a clear explanation.
This lack of transparency and feedback contradicts the company’s publicly stated principles around openness, equal opportunities, trust, and personal growth. The decision-making process felt opaque and HR-driven, without a technical evaluation, which was disappointing given the strong emphasis on culture, learning, and fairness communicated by the company.
