First, I got couple of HR calls. Then another call with the same HR guy and their Mobile Lead from the head office in France. The latter one was a mix of technical and experience questions. technical mostly regarding mobile development. Then they gave me a home assignment to do. It was interesting in terms of implementing it (Star Wars app) but lots of things and little details needed to be done to make it right. Their Mobile Lead was going on vacation soon so they asked me to do it as quick as possible and finish within few days. I did my best and used almost everything they asked in the assignment description, except I didn't use reactive stuff they recommend you to use because it would take me more time to implement and I was a bit in a hurry to make it good but quick. After I sent it I got a feedback that they didn't like it because of the way I interact between models and views - even though I used standard classic MVVM way to make it happen with clean architecture and everything. So I guess they just didn't like that I didn't implement it with reactive stuff as they recommended. I didn't get any feedback regarding all other parts of the app, like architecture itself, patterns I used, views etc. - nothing. Seems like they just opened it, looked if I used react or not and closed it without even taking a look the way it's implemented. Like using react is the most key things these days. Wasted a lot of time with these guys. Companies ask you to do so much these days to get a job but don't even care to spend some time on your assignment and give you good detailed feedback.
