      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at KIPP DC (Washington, DC) in Jun 2016

      Interview

After applying on the company's website, I receive an email from the Recruiter two weeks later, requesting me to schedule for a phone interview within my times of availability, which also aligns with hers. Following the conclusion of the interview, she told me that the team should be touching bases with me in 2-3 weeks. In the third week, I happened to check my email and luckily, it was a word from the Principal asking me if I was available to come in for an in-person interview; she told me to confirm by replying to the message. The Principal gave me a tour around the school, and introduced me to administration and some staff members. I was interviewed by 3 administrators, which was kind of overwhelming, but I got through it. Beforehand, I was given a writing sample to complete. A few days later, I received an offer for the position.

First you conduct a phone interview and then you move forward to a second interview. The second interview consists of a tour of the school, an in class lesson and a one on one interview with the Vice Principal. The last steps are for them to check your references and to have you shadow a class.
