      Conference Producer Interview

      19 Mar 2021
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Declined offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at KENX

      Interview

Easy. 2 phone interviews with two different people. I was then asked to do a "project". Any experienced Conference Producer after seeing the "project" can realize that this is not a project at all rather mining for information for free! They ask you to do research in an area and come up with speakers, location, sponsors, marketing and even Day 1 outline. No mention of salary prior to this requirement. Do not accept this "project" it is their way of getting desperate people to do free work and then they can run with the information and fine tune your work without an offer.
