I had an initial screening interview followed by a second more in depth interview that delved deeper into my personal projects and history in Game Design. I had a great time interviewing and felt very friendly and casual. I was told to reach out by the end of the following week if I had not heard anything after both interviews as I was told the company had an anti ghosting policy, I was contacted very quickly after the first however after the second interview I did have to reach out as I hadn't heard anything. when I did hear back I received nothing but positive feedback in regards to my interviews and portfolios and was informed that I was shortlisted for the position and that it was up to HR to decide a candidate among those shortlisted. Two more weeks went by without any further updates until I received a short email stating I had not made the shortlist for the next phase (which was slightly confusing as I had been told there were no more phases and it was down to HR Choosing a candidate from a shortlist that I was told I was a part of) I have reached out for further feedback to gain some insight as to why this decision was made and hopefully I will be able to use that to better myself moving forward.
