Start with a phone interview with a recruiter. This went very well and the recruiter was very good. Next step is a recorded interview virtually with recorded questions. A couple were typical, tell about a how you handled a agrument, how you would handle a mistake, etc. The other questions were tax related with little facts and little prep time to answer what information you would need from a client, what forms to prepare, what credits would apply, etc. Unless you very recently prepared returns and either have this all memorized or have a binder listing forms and questions for different tax situations, it is difficult to quickly answer these questions. The pay scale offered does not commensurate with the work required.
