      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Intrepid Pursuits (Cambridge, MA)

Last part of the interview process is a 3-hour on-site interview with back to back to back DS + A questions. Never got a response from the company after 2 follow up emails and a month plus of time waiting for a response.

      Question 1

      1. Reverse words in a String while keeping punctuations in place. 2. Implement compare method and compare two Strings. 3. Given an array of 5 integers, write a method to see if the sum of two numbers in array is equal to 10.

      Android Apprentice Interview

      18 Nov 2015
      Anonymous employee
      Cambridge, MA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Intrepid Pursuits (Cambridge, MA)

      Interview

I submitted an application online, then had a short phone interview, a long in-person interview, and a final shorter interview. The phone interview was one quick and straightforward question. The first in person interview I was asked one on one questions by three different developers on a whiteboard. Since I was applying for a position using Java, I used 95% real Java and maybe 5% pseudocode. After I passed that round, I met for an informal, final interview with their head of Android who mostly asked about my experiences and previous projects. The final interview was relaxed and not at all a real test.

      Interview questions [5]

      Question 1

      Recursive Fibonacci sequence
      Answer question

      Question 2

      Question 3

      Answer question

      Question 4

Write a method that returns the sum of numbers in an unending array within a given window.
      Answer question

      Question 5

Write a method that reverses word order but not the punctuation of a given sentence (more open ended than the rest).
