      Solutions Engineer Interview

      15 Jun 2011
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Palo Alto, CA
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Intapp (Palo Alto, CA) in Jun 2011

      Interview

I have had 4 interviews with IntApp thus far. I first met with IntApp at a job fair. The people were nice, open, and answered a lot of my questions. A few weeks later I was invited to for a phone interview, I learned more about the available position and company, the interviewer was friendly and genuinely interested in me. I was then given a tech assessment to test some of my skills and my ability to find solutions to things I was not familiar with. I was then invited to a second in-person interview. That day I spoke with 8 people, the interview was long, about 4 hours, but one of the interviewers took me to lunch. I was also shown some of their products and asked to make a couple of short bits of code to do simple tasks with their software. They were willing to help me use their system and discuss the problem with me, as there are nuances that are unique to their system. I was then invited back to another in-person interview to meet with a couple of other people, including the COO. I was allowed to speak with them about their experience with the company and how it has grown, and where it could be going. Even the people who weren't directly involved with my position offered a great deal of insight. I then had another phone interview to assess my phone skills, as the position requires a great deal of phone communication with clients. I received a complement that I didn't use a lot of filler words (uh, um and like), so, I would watch those if at all possible. Currently, no offer has been made, and they are still putting me through the hiring process. IntApp seems to have a very open, team-oriented culture. They are genuinely interested in the success of their employees, and strive to help their employees share knowledge. To be successful in the interview I would recommend that someone be positive, showcase their strengths and how they are unique.

      Interview questions [2]

      Question 1

You have two balls on different tracks, traveling without friction. Ball A is on a straight track traveling from left to right, from point a to point b. Ball B is on a track with a dip, traveling from left to right, also from point a to point b (same horizontal distance). Which ball arrives at point b first (or fastest)?
