I interviewed with an external recruiter on 3 December and was told the role would be filled by early January, with a second round to follow the next week. After weeks of silence and multiple follow ups, I was repeatedly told there were internal delays. Over a month later, I was informed that despite the initial interview, candidates had only been narrowed to a long short list and were now required to submit a video application. This raised serious questions about the value of the original screening interview. I completed the video, though by this stage I was fatigued by the process and self recorded interviews add unnecessary pressure compared to a proper conversation. It took a further week to be rejected. Overall, the process was inefficient, poorly structured, and a waste of time that is unlikely to secure the best candidates.
