I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Infoblox (Tacoma, WA) in Apr 2022
Interview
This has been the strangest process. A recruiter reached out to me to interview for a role and I was happy to speak to learn more. They then administer an IQ test( red flag #1), and set me up for another interview with the manager. We spoke for a little over an hour where she went into detail of why the position was open, Previous person was let go and even describing his nationality/ethnicity. As a woman of color( red flag #2). She made also another comment about millennials. Other things were discussed but we finished by establishing I was the only one in the running but they wanted to find 2 other people at least to compare me and the process would be no less than a month and a half. Overall the interview left a bad taste in my mouth and I figured out this was not a culture fit at all and probably a toxic work environment. Ultimately, I requested to withdraw my candidacy the following day. In this market, candidates will not wait . I’d recommend developing more effective recruiting processes.
