      Executive Assistant Interview

      16 Mar 2021
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Infoblox in Feb 2021

      Interview

Standard interview questions, then a Personality Test and CCAT. The CCAT was totally insulting. It had algebra, word math problems and spatial recognition. You have 8 seconds to answer each question. It is a deal breaker for Infoblox. It is also completely irrelevant to my work. If you hire the same mindset, you only create cookie cutter employees who don’t come up with dynamic solutions.

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Infoblox (Santa Clara, CA) in Aug 2024

      Interview

The interview process was negative. My recruiter reached out via LinkedIn and wanted to proceed with me after our initial call. I was quite happy to know about the next steps. However she went silent on me for almost a week. I had to email and send her a LinkedIn DM to follow up. Turns out she forgot to loop me in that people are away for the week for a conference, which I wasn't informed of. So we finally scheduled my first phone call to the one of the individuals under People Experience and Development. They didn't show up and I left after 13-14 minutes. I think at that point if a company doesn't uphold high standards in recruitment or value my time, I think that's a red flag. That tells me there are deeper issue's with the company's culture or priorities. A candidate's experience is a first impression of the company. If it's poor I would suspect the rest of it going poorly. I have values and I respect time of other's as well as my own. I would expect the someone at People Experience and Development to understand that the candidate experience is important especially an End-To-End experience.

Thank you for sharing your experience. While we truly value the candidate experience and embrace moments that matter, sometimes we can miss the mark. Ours is a very fast-paced culture that requires flexibility and nimbleness, and we regret we couldn't rectify the situation with your interview. One of our core values is respect for others, which extends beyond current Bloxers to include our job candidates. We respect and value the time of all candidates and strive to provide a quality experience.
