I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Illumina (Redwood City, CA) in Mar 2018
Interview
The company used a one-way automated system "HireVue" for this first screening interview. Not being able to have a dialog with an interviewer and ask my own questions was both a significant frustration and a large red flag to me. Did I really want to work for a company that presents itself this way?

Question 1
Why you choose to look out for the new opportunity?
Quite enjoyable first and second-round interview, followed by the company ghosting me entirely. Very disappointing because I was referred for the role, and the interview ran double the amount of time it was scheduled for.
Multi-round interview including individual and panels. Timely in terms of response and clear on the questions being presented. Met folks from various teams during the interview process and different cross functional groups.
