I applied online. I interviewed at Illumina (San Diego, CA) in Dec 2016
Interview
Sent out my CV, quickly got the response from hiring manager to set up a digital interview where they had 8 pre-selected questions, and give you 2 minutes to prepare, then record your answer. The question involved in the behavioral question and some practical question, it is not easy to do it, I failed, but looking for the next one.
In the technical round, I was asked to solve Java problems like star pattern printing, string manipulation, and logic-based tasks like checking even/odd numbers and parsing strings. One question was about accessing specific characters from the end of a string.
pre-recorded video interview. very complicated and nerve-racking. not good for those who are introverts and nervous in front of camera. I wish they had more guidelines or more practice opportunities.
