I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at ITA International in Mar 2025
Interview
TLDR: Lack of Communication, Cliche Ghosting
Recruiter reached out to me via Linkedin. We had a quick interaction back and forth, where it was confirmed I was highly qualified for the role (having previously directly supported the contract) and looked forward to hearing about next steps. After the initial conversation, the recruiter took 5 days to respond to a simple follow-up question and proceeded to ask me to officially apply to the role so we could get the ball rolling. I then never heard from him again. 3 weeks later I shot him a note letting him know I would like to rescind my candidacy, asking for confirmation. Of course, I heard nothing.
5 weeks after receiving the initial request from the recruiter I received a generic email saying another candidate had been selected but could I kindly provide feedback via glassdoor. Happy to leave feedback! What an odd recruiting process, that will make it easy to not consider employment with ITA International in the future...and happily pass along my poor experience to my colleagues throughout the federal consulting sphere.

Question 1
Recruiter actively tried to sell the role to me - no questions were asked other than to confirm my firsthand experience with major military acquisition programs
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at ITA International
Interview
In August 2017, I applied for a HQ Chief of People Solutions position at ITA International and was told two months later that the role was actually not going to be hired for (think they decided to promote a family member).
Then in April 2020, I applied to a HQ Chief Strategy Officer role and three months later, I was again was told they were not going to hire for this role.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at ITA International (Yorktown, VA) in Mar 2019
Interview
ITA has a very thorough interview process, especially for executive level positions. The owners took me to dinner the night before the day long interview with C-Suite and spent time discussing the vision of the company and the expectations for the position. I then interviewed with multiple executives across the organization and the HR staff in a group setting. There were good questions and this forum allowed both ITA and me to assess fit and how my skills could be applied to needs of the company. Overall, a great experience
