Acquisition Specialist (Subject Matter Expert) Interview

      14 Apr 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at ITA International in Mar 2025

      Interview

TLDR: Lack of Communication, Cliche Ghosting Recruiter reached out to me via Linkedin. We had a quick interaction back and forth, where it was confirmed I was highly qualified for the role (having previously directly supported the contract) and looked forward to hearing about next steps. After the initial conversation, the recruiter took 5 days to respond to a simple follow-up question and proceeded to ask me to officially apply to the role so we could get the ball rolling. I then never heard from him again. 3 weeks later I shot him a note letting him know I would like to rescind my candidacy, asking for confirmation. Of course, I heard nothing. 5 weeks after receiving the initial request from the recruiter I received a generic email saying another candidate had been selected but could I kindly provide feedback via glassdoor. Happy to leave feedback! What an odd recruiting process, that will make it easy to not consider employment with ITA International in the future...and happily pass along my poor experience to my colleagues throughout the federal consulting sphere.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

Recruiter actively tried to sell the role to me - no questions were asked other than to confirm my firsthand experience with major military acquisition programs
