I applied online. I interviewed at IOLLA (Glasgow, Scotland) in Jan 2023
Interview
Sadly In the end it was a shambles. Be prepared to jump through several hoops and several long winded interviews. I don’t know if this is because they just weren’t sure of me as a candidate or generally how they interview. I think they seemed nice, and fair (ish) but as a company I feel they are a little self-inflated. I felt that the communication was, at times, very unclear. I will say that everyone seemed friendly and welcoming. I think there are some good processes but after the third interview…just stop interviewing. Either make your mind up or move on. It’s not the x-factor! It’s a lot of time for a person when looking to be employed and having other opportunities slip by. The overall process took over 1.5 months and I think I’d still be interviewing if I hadn’t drawn a line.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
1: very informal chat with a few questions. Very friendly throughout. 2: Still informal with far too many “give me an example/scenario” types of questions. And I mean too many. This get like it went on for ever. 3: not really sure if this was an interview but It sure felt like one. More of a discussion and a few questions but not quite as intense as 2. Not a very private interview either.
