Interview
The whole interview process took about six weeks, and the HR team was amazing throughout. I heard back pretty quickly after applying—my HR contact did an intro call and walked me through every step. She was super understanding when I mentioned my upcoming trip and even waited to send the online assessment until I got back, which I really appreciated.
After that, I had a hiring manager interview, a system deep dive, a system design interview, and finally a culture fit chat. Everyone I spoke with was friendly, professional, and well-prepared, and the process itself was smooth and clearly structured. Overall, it was a really positive experience, and I came away with a great impression of both the team and the company.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Hinge in Apr 2020
Interview
Recruiter connected with me about the position, followed by a technical screen. They were looking for a generalist to support coding practices and infrastructure on the team. The screener was very nice and seemed like a good person to work with. They followed up with a 'homework' problem of doing a code review and doing 'something' with data. It was a pretty open-ended challenge that required coming up with your own project for the second part.
I got a lot of positive feedback and then was told they decided not to hire for the position, after all. I wish they'd thought more about that before posting the position
