      Marketing Manager Interview

      11 Jan 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Boulder, CO
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Halter (Boulder, CO) in Jan 2025

      Interview

The US team leads did me dirty. They had already hired to position I applied for. They had me take off from work, come and present them a case study so they could hear my ideas, when they had already decided on who would fill the position. Additionally they list the job as in "Denver" but their office is in Boulder. Lots of deception. They opened an office in Boulder instead of looking for a location in the best place for the business. Overall I felt like this interview process was very dishonest. A business that doesn't even accurately list what city the job is in and does that awful corporate practice of having people present free work to capitalize their ideas and with no intention to hire them is overall an example of gross culture. The team came off as egotistical and pompous. Don't interview here. And working there would have sucked. They chose to overpay for a workshare office in Boulder rather than getting a proper office in Denver that isn't shared. Working all in one room with those people would be awful.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

They had me present them an entire marketing launch into the US market. But said don't take more than 4 hours on this, and had already filled the role.
