It's a zoom call where you do a quick screening explaining the position and whether you would be a good fit. It's pretty comprehensive and when you are done there's a second round with a manager before you get hired. It's just a recap of everything to make sure you are good to go.

Question 1
What are some of the things you are looking for in terms of a new career?
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at HTX Strategies (Houston, TX) in Apr 2025
Interview
My recent interview with HTX Strategies felt like a cattle call. The job description doesn’t mention that you’ll be selling security, nor does it disclose that they conduct group interviews for door-to-door sales roles. This wasn’t communicated upfront, which felt misleading.
I was transferred between interviewers in the middle of the process, and one of them completely dropped off. The second was more professional, but the whole process left a bad impression. Also, the pay listed ($800–$1,500 per week) isn’t what it seems. The base pay is actually $350 per week, with the rest made up through commission, which wasn’t clear at all.
If they’re going to advertise the role, they should be more transparent about the details.
