The interview process is designed for you to give rehearsed answers using the STAR format and using their keywords. They overload you with information on what to expect in the interview, and what their metrics are. When you actually step into the interview it comes down to how well you rehearsed not how well you can actually do the job. You feel as though you have to memorise lines to succeed in the interview. They don't allow much scope for authenticity. Some people excel at these kind of interviews, but it isn't for me. I would much rather be interviewed by human beings who care about the person sitting in the chair and their experience instead of their ability to regurgitate keywords to tick a box.
